New Zealand born Emmy-nominee Nick Bassett is a Production Designer and Art Director with over 30 years of experience. Bassett is known for working on critically acclaimed films and TV shows.

 Upcoming projects include Lee Cronin’s horror film Evil Dead Rise, which had its world premiere at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival, starring Alyssa Sutherland, Lily Sullivan and Morgan Davies, which hits theaters on April 20th; season 2 of Netflix’s Sweet Tooth, starring Nonso Anozie, Christian Convery and Adeel Akhtar, which premieres April 27th;  and David Sandberg’s Kung Fury 2, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Fassbender and Alexandra Shipp, which premieres November 17th.

 Other Production Designer credits include Starz’s Ash vs Evil Dead, starring Bruce Campbell, Ray Santiago and Lucy Lawless; Jason Lee Howden’s Guns Akimbo, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Samara Weaving and Ned Dennehy; Television New Zealand’s Rude Awakenings, starring Danielle Cormack and Patrick Wilson; and more.

 Art Director credits include James Cameron’s Oscar-winning film Avatar, which earned Bassett an Art Director Guild Award in “Excellence in Production Design,” starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Stephen Lang; Robert Harmon’s Ike: Countdown to D-Day, starring Tom Tom Selleck and James Remar, for which Bassett received an Emmy-nomination for “Outstanding Art Direction for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special”category; Jonathan King’s Under the Mountain, starring Sam Neill, Tom Cameron and Oliver Driver; Martin Campbell’s Vertical Limit, starring Chris O’Donnell, Robin Tunney and Stuart Wilson; Stephen Kay’s Boogeyman, starring Barry Watson and Emily Deschanel; and more.

 Bassett was also the Supervising Art Director on Woo-Ping Yuen’s Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon-Sword of Destiny, starring Donnie Yen, Harry Shum Jr. and Michelle Yeoh; and on Starz’s Spartacus, starring Manu Bennett and Lucy Lawless; and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, starring John Hannah, Peter Mensah and Dustin Clare.
